Friday Folders 
 Each Friday, a folder will be sent home reporting your child’s progress. Included in the folder will be class information, your child’s work, and handouts/letters from the front office. It is important to look each week and review your child's work so you can see how your child is progressing on these skills.  This folder will go home EVERY week, unless I have notified you differently. These are expected to be signed and returned on Wednesday. This is a good way for you to know where your child may be struggling. 

Homework
In recognizing that families are busy and to promote student choice and time management, all homework will be assigned on Monday and due on Friday. In the front of each student’s binder there will be a monthly calendar with important dates as well as the weekly homework requirements. For example, in September students will be assigned a Google Form, Prodigy and a practice activity in Math. Throughout the week, students can decide the night and the order in which they complete each assignment. As they finish an activity, they should mark it down in their calendar on the day that it was complete. Teachers will review assignments on Friday.  Remember to look at your child's calendar EVERY Thursday night to ensure it is filled out! ​

Volunteer Information
 new volunteer applicants must register and have an approved criminal record check prior to engaging in volunteer work. Applicants may register at any WCPSS site through the intranet. Access to the volunteer system is: WCPSS Intranet-Business Application-Volunteer Registration.

Applicants will be notified by email once their application has been approved or approved to drive. Applicants who are not approved will receive notice from Employee Relations.

The volunteer system will be open daily for registration.
